Biography--

Laurie Ann Payton Bias, 43, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at UnityPoint Health--Allen Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. She was born June 27, 1973 in Waterloo, daughter of Jim and Sandy Mitchell Payton.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1991; attended Hawkeye Community College and graduated from the Nevada School of Massage Therapy program. Laurie will be remembered by many as someone who always cared for her loved ones. She enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time with her friends and family.

Laurie is survived by her daughters, Micah Webb and Taylor Allen (Brandon Schriner), both of Cedar Falls, Iowa; her father, James "Jim" Payton, Waterloo; her sister, Shelly (David) Mince, nephew, Shawn Woodard, niece, Cheyanne Mince, all of Frisco, Texas; and one great‑niece.

She is preceded in death by her mother; significant other, Shawn North; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
