Raymond J. Drewelow, 69, of Tripoli, died Monday, March 13, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born December 28, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Robert and Loretta Ott Drewelow.

Ray served four years in the U.S. Navy working as an aviation hydraulic mechanic. After his service he continued working in the airline industry.

He is survived by his mother, Loretta; his four siblings: JoAnn Kauffman of Independence, Mary Ahles of Waterloo, John (Judy) of Harvard, Ill., and Nancy (Warren) Markle of Horsehead, NY; numerous nieces and nephews; and two fur baby boxers, rascal and flatts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where full military rites will be conducted by the Evansdale AMVETS post 31 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery will take place at a later date. Public Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
