Obituary for Darlene F. Carlson

Darlene F. Carlson, 77, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 8, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

She was born February 14, 1940 in Northcote, Minn., daughter of Gordon and Anne Snare Matthews. She married Robert Carlson on November 21, 1959 in Hallock, Minn. He died March 30, 1995.

Darlene graduated from Hallock High School in 1958. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waterloo since 1968.

Survived by: three daughters, Jody (Dan) Rasmussen of Waterloo, Jeri (Scott) Jelinek of Coon
Rapids, Minn., Joni Morgensen (Marty Weyer) of Hudson; a son, Jeff (Nicole) Carlson of Waterloo; two sisters, Rosemary (Darrell) Skogen of McGregor, Minn., and Karen (Bruce) Rhodes of Prior Lake, Minn.; several nieces and nephews; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

Preceded in death by: her husband, Robert and her parents.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 13 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 12 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Visitation will continue for one hour before service at the church on Monday.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
