Death or Miss Church. From Tuesday's Daily.

After a long siege of sickness, during which she suffered intensely and battled heroically for life, Miss Minnie Church passed away at Cedar Falls at 6 o'clock this morning at the age of 26 years. Miss Church was an orphan.

Her friends know of no relatives that she has. For the past seven years she has been living in this part of the county, going to school, teaching and doing what she could get to do. In 1889 and 1890 she attended the College in this city and fitted herself to teach. Her first term was taught in No. 7, Spring Creek, in 1891. In 1892 she taught in No. 8, Blackhawk.

Then she went to Tama county and taught one term and to Benton county for one term. Coming back to Blackhawk, she taught the Highland school in Big Creek township in the winter of 1893-4. When the Cedar Falls Daily Graphic was started she did the local work, holding her position until the paper ceased to exist.

Since then she has been spending her time alternately with friends at Cedar Falls and Waterloo. As a student Miss Church was a hard, earnest worker. Of frail physique, she overtaxed her energies and as these elements were characteristic of whatever she did, it is probable she worked too hard for her physical well-being.

Several weeks ago she was seized with an attack of typho-maladal fever. From this she almost recovered, but had a relapse and her last illness was caused by gastric fever. While the deceased has no loving parents or relatives to mourn her death, she made a host of friends who sincerely regret her demise.

The funeral will take place, at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Cedar Falls, and the burial will be in Fairview cemetery near this city. Should any of the friends wish to attend from this city, the interment will probably be about 4 o'clock.
