Obituary for Scott W. Denniston

Scott W. Denniston, 50, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

He was born January 3, 1967, in Waterloo, son of Wesley and Helga Deininger Denniston. He married Aimee Smith on May 21, 2016 in Chicago, Ill.

Scott worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Unity Point Allen Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Aimee of Waterloo; their children: Samantha, Graciee, Levi, Emily, Jacob, Kayla, Andy (Amanda); and grandson, Wesley; two sisters, Patty Wolter of Lake Geneva, Wis., and Lorrie (Rich) Goodwyn of Ashburn, Virg.; a brother, Jimmy (Elizabeth) of Rice Lake, Wis.; parents-in-law, Willie and Mikki Smith of Waterloo; three brothers-in-law, Bill (Steph) Smith of New Hartford, Tony (Sarah) Smith of Cedar Falls, and Mike (Emily) Smith of Marion; three sisters-in-law, Jen (Dave) Campbell of Cedar Falls; Heidi Siddell (Darrel Drenner) of Waterloo, Molly (Brian) Rooff of Waterloo, a Godson, Kai Smith of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Mike Denniston; late wife, Sue Denniston; a nephew, Tate Smith; a niece, Emma Smith; a brother-in-law, Lt. Cmdr. Tony Nemecek.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Waterloo.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 10 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation will continue for one hour before service at the church on Saturday.
