JoAnn Elizabeth (Leask) Jordan
March 8, 1934 - May 21, 2016
JoAnn Elizabeth (Leask) Jordan was born March 8, 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of John Edward and Myrtle Rose (Joyce) Leask. She attended Waterloo schools graduating from East High School with the Class of 1953.
During her school years, JoAnn met Max Jordan and the couple wed when he returned from basic training with the United States Air Force. The couple moved to Spokane, WA, then to the east coast where they lived in MA. While there, JoAnn worked for Savage Arms in their billing department.
She worked for various companies through the years, retiring from GMAC Finance in 1994. JoAnn liked to read mysteries and romance novels, ride motorcycle and travel around the country with Max to camp in their motor home.
JoAnn passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Ravenwood Care Center at the age of 82 years following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Joyce Turner. JoAnn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Max; daughter Sheri (Tony) Hildman of Waterloo; 2 grandchildren, Kayla (Nick) Sadd of Cedar Falls and Scott Hildman of Waterloo; and a great-granddaughter, Kensi Sadd.
