Lance L. Kern, 48, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 19, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born May 7, 1968 in Cedar Falls, son of Tommy and Karen Dzvonar Kern. He married Rachael on October 9, 2006 in Pushmataha, Oklahoma.

Lance was employed in automobile repair, carpentry and lawn care.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dylan Kern; a daughter, Candice Kern; and his mother of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a brother, Tyson Kern; and a sister, Lisa Bellinger.

There will be no services.
