Biography--

Evelyn Carol Neubauer, 96, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Lakeview Landing of Friendship Village, on Wednesday May 11, 2016.

Evelyn was born December 5, 1919, in La Porte City, Iowa, the daughter of Fletcher and Cleo (Bryant) Bush.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1937.

Evelyn married Carl A. Neubauer June 8, 1941 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in March 1977.

She worked at IPS, KXEL, and Schoitz Hospital as a secretary for 11 years before retiring in 1982.

Evelyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo where she was an elder and a deacon. She was a member of Beta Sigma FI, Chapter FE of PEO, the Waterloo Women's Club, Snowden House, Republican Women, PWP, Spice and the Elkettes. She also enjoyed playing Bridge.

She is survived by one son, Carl (Norma) Neubauer of Waterloo; one daughter, Diane Rider of Waterloo; five grandchildren; and 12 great‑grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Russell Bush.
