Susan Rae Buzynski, 60, died Thursday, May 12 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

She was born August 31, 1955 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Robert F. and Lillian M. Hemmer Buzynski. She married Mark A. Spaulding and they were later divorced. She married Bruce Mastin and they were later divorced.

Sue graduated from Columbus High School in 1973. She was a residential housekeeper in the Cedar Valley area.

She is survived by a son, Jeremy (Marlena) Spaulding of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Brandi Berdecia of Evansdale; three grandchildren, Ethan Spaulding, Tanner Spaulding and Noah VanWie; a brother, Bob (Kathy) Buzynski of Waterloo; a nephew, Bryan (Sarah) Buzynski of Waterloo and a niece Katie Buzynski (fiancé Brad Phillips) of Clive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a Legion of Mary rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil at 6 p.m. Visitation also one hour preceding services at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family.
