Biography--

Della I. Stoneman, 94, of Waterloo, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services.

She was born October 12, 1921, in Brandon, daughter of Ovid and May Benion Forsyth. She married A.J. Stoneman on April 28, 1940, in Quasqueton. He died October 10, 1995.

Della worked at Rath Packing Co in the 1950s, delivered Courier carrier bundles in the '60s, and was a housekeeper and worked in the office at the Elm's Motel from 1968 until retiring in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Sapp of Waterloo; two sons, David (Ruthie) Stoneman of Stockton, Mo., and Ronald (Robin) Stoneman of Waterloo; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Myrtle Allen, Ila Schutterly and Leola Potter; three brothers, Carl, Earl and Ray Forsyth; a grandson; and a son-in-law, Ronnie Sapp.
