Wayne O. Aurand, 92, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 27, 1923 in Lamars, Iowa, the son of Reuben H. and Evelyn G. (Parkinson) Aurand. Wayne married Miriam Hansen on August 21, 1948 in Cedar Falls. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1979. Wayne married Eileen G. Beattie on August 9, 1980. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2015.

He graduated from Ft. Dodge High School, earned his BA from the University of Northern Iowa, received his MA from the University of Michigan and earned his PhD from the University of Illinois. Wayne taught both general music and band for many years at Price Lab School in Cedar Falls. He was a member of the Cedar Falls Lions Club.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., April 30, 2016, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.
