Biography-

Nancy H. Schuler, 82 of Evansdale died Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.

She was born February 21, 1934, in West Union, Iowa, daughter of Floyd and Dorothy Mae (Peeper) Sackett. Nancy graduated from Ames High School

She married Charles Schuler on December 31, 1969, in Prairie de Chien, Wisconsin. She worked over 20 years in Food Service for the Waterloo Community Schools and was known as the “Lunch Lady” retiring in the 90’s.

She was a member of the Evansdale AmVets Auxilary, Nancy was an avid bingo player every Wednesday with her daughter. She loved to needlework, sewing, collecting cookbooks, bunnies and snowmen.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Charles Schuler of Evansdale; daughter, Robyn (Jim) Farnsworth of Cedar Falls; two sons, Charlie (Laura) Johnson of Epping, New Hampshire, and Eric (Shannon) Schuler of Atlantic; 13 grandchildren: Anji, Aimee, Josh, Billy, Jamie, Borge Jayna, Carissa, Tony, Jade, London, Shelby, and Cody; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, brothers, Floyd Sackett, and Ronald Sackett.

Memorial Services: Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Locke Funeral Home

Cemetery: Inurnment will be at a later date at the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Iowa
