Biography--

Shelley Lee Nichols Kirby, 64, of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 20, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 27, 1951, in Waterloo, the daughter of Richard and Joyce Teare Nichols. She married Ray Kirby on March 15, 1969 and they later divorced.

Shelley was employed at Tyson Fresh Meats for 19 years, retiring in 2011.

Survivors include her son, Shane Kirby of Waterloo; her daughter, Tammy George of Waterloo; her mother, Joyce Nichols of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Ashley Lentzkow, Kimberly Kirby, and Daniel Rigdon; five great-grandchildren, Hunter Lentzkow, Tanner Lentzkow, Drake Lentzkow, Michael Kirby, and Lonnie Porter; a brother, Richard Nichols of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a sister, Linda Jacob of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Preceded in death by: her father, Richard Nichols.

There will be no services. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.
