Biography--
Ivan J. Miller, 83, of Waterloo died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Friendship Village Health Center from complications of an illness.
He was born October 24, 1932 in Waterloo, son of Paul F. and Iola Mae Campbell Miller. He married Donna M. Smith on August 17, 1952 at First Brethren Church, Waterloo.
Ivan graduated from Orange Township High School in 1951. He attended Coe College and Gates Business College.
He was the owner of one of Black Hawk County’s Heritage Farms. President of Miller & Sons Services. He was a Production Supervisor at John Deere for 25 years, retiring in 1987. Later he was a Sales Manager for Elliot Bros for several years.
Ivan was a member of the Community Church of Hudson, Waterloo Exchange Club, former President of John Deere Supervisor's Club and the Waterloo Transportation Club.
He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Miller, of Waterloo; three sons, Reece (Deanne) Miller of Waterloo, Randy Miller of Waterloo, and Mark (Jodi) Miller of Fairbault, Minnesota; one daughter, Lori (Larry) Wendling of Hudson; nine grandchildren, Wesley (Abbie) Miller, Justin (Aubrie) Miller, Melissa Wendling, Ryan Miller, Miranda Miller, Alli Miller, Philip Wendling, Andrew Miller and Jacob Miller; seven great‑grandchildren, Blake, Jackson, Saylor, Max, Bellamy, Lydia and Luke, and two daughters‑in‑law, Denise Miller and Carla Miller, both of Waterloo.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marlys Miller.
