Biography--

Connie Kay Hawkins, 78, of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Unity Point Heath Allen Hospital.

She was born July 11, 1937 in Waterloo the daughter of Corwin and Helen (Brown) Killinger. She married Edmond Hawkins December 18, 1954 in Waterloo, they were later divorced.

She worked for 35 years as a Secretary for the Waterloo Community Playhouse, retiring in 2011.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Eifert of Cedar Falls, Diana McNamee of Waterloo, Pamela Sabel of Fredericksburg, VA; nine grandchildren, Angela, Amy, Gary, Christopher, Malinda, Russell, Levi, Tanya, Thomas; twenty-eight great grandchildren and one sister, Karen “Tootie” Killinger of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Richard Killinger, Michael Bartholomew and one sister, Laurel “Jeannie” Nelsen.
