Obituary for Wilbert E. Stacy

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Wilbert “Willie” E. Stacy, age 95, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Friday, February 26, 2016, at his home.

He was born December 12, 1920, in Waverly, Iowa, to Junius and Celia (Schumann) Stacy. He attended Waverly schools until 8th grade, when he began delivering milk to the Washington Creamery.

On September 10 1941, he married Eleanor Randall in Bethany, MO. She preceded him in death on December 9, 1970. He remarried in June of 1973 to Virginia Finkebiner at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She preceded him in death in March of 1999. He worked for Dean Siems Masonry, and as a paint inspector and riveter for Waterloo Industries, retiring in 1992. In retirement he volunteered at the Community Center, and with Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by four sons: Don (Joyce) of Waverly, Bill (Marge) of Baraboo, WI, Jim (Cathy) of Verona, WI, and Dennis of Tucson, AZ; one daughter, Linda Peterman of Waterloo; one step-son, Rick (Janine) Finkebiner of Plymouth, IN; two sisters, Berdean Hussey of Northfield, MN and Evelyn Minnaert of Rochester, MN; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by two wives; a sister, Glenys Flege; and two brothers, Wayne and Delbert Stacy.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am Friday, March 4, at Richardson Funeral Service. Visitation for one hour prior to service.

Interment will be immediately following the funeral at Harlington Cemetery, Waverly.
