Margaret Elizabeth Hoffman, 71, of Elk Run Heights, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital following a long battle with cancer. She was born May 17, 1944 in Waterloo the daughter of Fred and Freda (Nissen) Scheel.
She was a graduate of Waterloo East High School and received a degree from AIC. She married Jack G. Hoffman, Sr. on February 15, 1980 at the First Lutheran Church in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on November 16, 2014.
She worked at John Deere for a few years and had been a CNA for many years at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
Margaret loved gardening, going to Bingo and adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by one son, Jack G. (Kelly) Hoffman, Jr. of Elk Run Heights; one daughter, Reanie (Lewie) Roseberry of Tucson, AZ; one step daughter, Paula (J.R.) Dixon of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Alyssa Hoffman, Lewie Roseberry and Chylynn Roseberry.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and two brothers, Donald and Richard Scheel.
