Died: Feb. 20, 2016

Biography--

Elicia Beth Ross, age 30, of Bellevue, Nebraska and formerly of La Porte City, died Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE.

She was born August 1, 1985, in Iowa City, the daughter of Michael and Rhonda Gleason. Elicia graduated from Union High school with the Class of 2003 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. She was united in marriage with Kenneth Ross, Jr. on May 16, 2009 in Omaha.

Elicia worked for a time for Schering-Plough Corp. and then taught medical biology at Bellevue West High school in Bellevue, Nebraska. She and Ken were active members of Dundee Presbyterian Church in Omaha, where Elicia was a youth leader and mentored many young people. Together they volunteered many hours working with young people and going on mission trips. Elicia was a dedicated, loving mother, a title she treasured. She will always be remembered as a loving mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend.

Survivors include her husband, Ken and her daughter, Lydia Grace Ross of Bellevue, NE; her parents, Michael and Rhonda Gleason of La Porte City; a brother, Nathan (Jessica) Gleason of Bellevue, NE; her maternal grandmother, Shirley Caldwell of La Porte City; her paternal grandparents, Richard and JoAnn Gleason of Gilbertville, IA and her mother-in-law, Michele Ross of Omaha and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

She was preceded in death by two daughters in infancy, Olivia Beth and Elliana Ross; her maternal grandfather, Joseph Caldwell and her father-in-law, Kenneth Ross Sr.

Services:
Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville

Visitation:
Wednesday, February 24 at La Porte City Funeral Home, 606 E. Main St. in La Porte City where a parish vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m.; and for one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the Church.

Cemetery:
West View Cemetery in La Porte City, Iowa.
