Biography--

Barbara A. (Stephens) White, 68, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at NorthCrest Specialty Care, Waterloo from complications of a long illness.

She was born September 12, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas, daughter of Charles and Catherine Mick Stephens. Barb worked at Ruppman Marketing, downtown Waterloo. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Waterloo.

Barb married James (Jim) White and they were later divorced.

Barb is survived by her three sons: David Thompson of Escondido, CA, Chris (Osha) Thompson of Tulsa, OK, and Chad (Jessie) Shipman of Waterloo; two step-children, Scott (Felicia) White and Shawn White, both of Wichita, KS; three grandchildren, Journey and Phoenix Shipman of Waterloo and Alex Thompson of Tulsa, and six step-grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Jenny, Michael, Lizzy and Skylar.
