Lloyd Edward Faulkner was born on December 12, 1947, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Opal (Severin) Faulkner. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1967. Lloyd married Julie Gray on October 18, 1977 in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was in the Marines and the Army, and served in Vietnam and Desert Storm and received three Purple Heart honors. Lloyd retired from the National Guard after 30 years of service in 1999. He loved listening to Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. Lloyd enjoyed Hee Haw, Werthers coffee candy, Whoppers and Mountian Dew. Most importantly he loved his family.

Lloyd, 68, passed away on December 24, 2015 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Alan Faulkner. He is survived by his wife, Julie; his son Andrew Faulkner, of Parkersburg; his daughter Amy (Ken) Horner of Waterloo; three grandchildren: Tanner Faulkner, Andrew Faulkner and Zander Horner; and three sisters; Wanda (David) Eggers, Tammy (Alan) Carpenter, and Sandra (Tom Boullion) Faulkner.

Lloyd was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
