Levi “Lee” Miller, 70, of Waterloo, died Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Waterloo.
Levi Perry Miller was born May 23, 1945, in Oelwein, Iowa, son of Joseph S. and Fannie Mae Mast Miller. He married Carol Ann Fowlkes Welch September 1, 1972 in Evansdale.
Lee was a Truck Driver for 27 years for various businesses and later worked at Kwik Star in Waterloo. He served in the United States Army and was an active member of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church. He helped take care of mowing at the church and was on the Council. Lee was also a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed reading, outdoor activities and carpentry.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Waterloo; three daughters: Tabitha Overturf of Cedar Rapids, Terri (Bob) Yarrington of Waterloo, and Darcie Miller of Waterloo; son Brian (Rachael) Miller of Waterloo; stepdaughter, Samantha (Ed) Huff of Sioux City; ten Grandchildren; three brothers: Daniel Miller of Hazleton, Ed (Georgia) Miller of Oelwein, Richard (Jana) Miller of Alaska; and four sisters: Edith Biddinger of Oelwein, Shirley (Richard) Buhr of Oelwein, Marietta (Bill) Vance of Hazleton, and Gloria Pickett of Oelwein.
Preceded in death by: parents, and one sister Katie Sorge.
