Josephine M. “Jody” Drew-Lundy (1950-2015)

ELK RUN HEIGHTS, IOWA - Josephine M. “Jody” Drew-Lundy, 65, of Elk Run Heights, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at UnityPoint – Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born July 28, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Peter E. and Lois (Gaskill) Trainor. She married John Lundy on October 18, 1996 in Waterloo.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1968 and earned her Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology from Hawkeye Tech. She owned Drew-Lundy Trucking of Elk Run Heights.

She is survived by her husband, John Lundy of Elk Run Heights; five sons: Charles Amsbary of Elk Run Heights, Arthur (Amy) Amsbary of Cedar Falls; Ronald Lundy of Waterloo, John (Kristi) Lundy of Elk Run Heights, Joe Lundy of Fridley, MN; three daughters: Carrie Amsbary of Cedar Falls, Deb (Chris) Rummans of Jesup, Kathy Wagner of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Kay Meyer of Independence and Mary Woodward of Cedar Falls, one brother, Jack (Jo) Trainor of Girard, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Sean Lundy, and a brother, David E. Cobb.

Services: Thursday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and also for one hour prior to the service Thursday.
