Jennifer “J.J.” Meier, 44, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 7, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
She was born December 8, 1970, in Waterloo, the daughter of Edward and Sharon Coyle Weber. She married Cary Meier on October 6, 1990, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Waterloo.
J.J. graduated from Columbus High School in 1989 and was employed as a medical secretary/scribe with Cedar Valley Podiatry.
Survivors include her husband, Cary of Waterloo; her children, C.J., Maggie, Sophie, and John all of Waterloo; her parents, Ed and Sharon Weber, of Waterloo; a brother, Mike (Pam) Weber of Urbandale; a sister, Christine (Mark) Hagemann of Lenexa, Kan; five nieces, Amy, Kaley, Erin, Mackenzie, Brianna; six nephews, Ryan, Jordan, Sean, Noah, Sam, and Lucas; father and mother –in-law, Dave and Judy Loy of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Michelle (Bob) McPoland of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her father–in-law; Irvin Meier.
Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 11, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday, where there will be a 7:00 PM vigil service and also one hour prior to services Wednesday all at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials: may be directed to Blessed Maria Assunta Pallotta School, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, or Cedar Valley Hospice.
