LaVonna M. "Bonnie" Harp, 75, of 220 Valley Drive, Apt. 2D, died Sunday, Sept. 5, at Covenant Medical Center ICU, Waterloo, of heart failure.

She was born Jan. 13, 1929, in La Porte City, daughter of James "Pete" and Florence "Flo" Angel Riggle. She married John L. Harp on Jan. 18, 1945, in Waterloo. He died March 20, 1971.

Mrs. Harp had been a bartender in Waterloo, Brandon and La Porte City. She was a former La Porte City Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary member.

Survivors include: a daughter, Terry L. Harp of La Porte City; an aunt, Mildred Riggle of La Porte City; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: a son, Thomas E. in 1962; three brothers, George, Robert and Clarence "Boz" Riggle; and an infant sister.

Serivces: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Thursday at the church. Huisman Funeral Home, La Porte City, in charge of arrangements.
