Marcella I. Klein, 85, formerly of Heritage Condos, La Porte City, died Friday, Sept. 3 at Noble Healthcare Center, Noble, Okla., of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Blessing, daughter of Pete and Anna Weber Murphy. She married Raymond W. Klein on Aug. 17, 1938, at Immaculate Conception Church, Blessing.

She was a 1936 graduate of St. Mary's of Mount Carmel High School, Eagle Center. She and her husband resided on a farm near Traer until 1962. She moved to La Porte City in 1962 and operated Klein's Electric with her husband until 1972.

Survivors include: a son, William "Bill" J. (Karen)Klein of Webster City: a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" A. (Joel) Kettman of Noble: four grandchildren, Jeffrey Klein, Colleen Sadler, Debra Geiger and Scott Kettman: and six great-grandchildren, Gage and Reece Sadler, Gillian and Cael Klein, Rachel and Nicole Geiger.

Preceding her in death by: a brother, Joseph Murphy.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the church. Huisman Funeral Home, La Porte City, is in charge of arrangements.
