Beverly R. Smock-Witt, 89, of Elk Run Heights, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas.
She was born June 7, 1925 in Alden, Minnesota, the daughter of Lee and Ruth (Reed) Tansey. She married Darrell L. Smock on March 14, 1942 in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on May 30, 2004. She married Ken Witt on October 1, 2005 in Waterloo.
She was a distributor for Shaklee Products for 40 years.
Survived by: her husband, Ken Witt of Elk Run Heights; one son, Dan (Teri) Smock of Victoria, MN; two daughters, Pam (Jim) Jones of Cedar Falls, Jackie (Dale) Wilson of Elk Run Heights; two step sons, Jeff (Carla) Witt and David (Jarith) Witt all of Hudson; four step daughters, Lynn (Keith) Gaylor of Colorado Springs, CO, Luci (Jeff) Huegel of Marion, Lani (John) Hill of La Porte City, Leslie (Steve) Pfiffner of Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Smock, Tiffany Meany, Heidi (Dave) Frank, Kyle (Renee’) Smock, Kirk (Katie) Smock, Corey (Jenny) Smock, Whitney (Tony) Fischer, Dusty (Kelsey) Wilson; twenty-two step grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gail Tansey of Cedar Falls and a sister-in-law, Karen Tansey of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Smock; two sons, Craig Smock and Larry Smock in infancy; one brother, David Tansey; a sister, Margaret Danielson; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Virginia Tansey and two step daughters, Lori Swomley and Lisa Witt.
