Services:
Wednesday, January 14 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, 3146 Kimball Avenue in Waterloo with cremation to follow the services. Military honors will be accorded by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138, Sullivan Brothers V.F.W. Post 1623 and the U.S. Navy Honors Detail.

Visitation:
Tuesday, January 13 and an hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be at a later date

Biography--

Clayton J. Hurley, age 87, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center at the Western Home in Cedar Falls.

He was born September 6, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa. Clayton attended Waterloo East High School. He married Evelyn Joan Butler on March 19, 1948, in Waterloo. She died June 14, 1999.

Clayton worked for John Deere and Co. in the hydraulic assembly department for many years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Gary) Kuehne of Mt. Auburn, Iowa and Melissa (Michael) Wetlaufer of Waterloo; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard D. DaBillo of Davenport, Iowa, and Lloyd DaBillo of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
