Visitation:
Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Biography--

Freida Nelesene Adams, 79, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at the Affinity House on Sunday, January 4, 2015 of natural causes.

She was born April 15, 1935 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Dora (Hippen) Harms.

Freida married Jack R. Adams on October 26, 1951 in Waterloo; he died December 31, 1999. She attended Reinbeck High School. Freida was a baker at the Logan School Cafeteria for many years.

She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed doing wood crafting and loved to play Bingo. Freida grew and canned her own vegetables. She liked to go fishing and even got the chance to do so in Mexico. She especially loved spending time with her sisters and family. Regardless of what she had going in her life, she always found time to help and do for others.

She is survived by two daughters: Jackie Salinas and her husband Oscar of Phoenix, Arizona and Audrey Pratt and her husband Clyde of Waterloo; nine grandchildren: Marco Salinas, Aliscia Hernandez, Sheila Griggs, Anthony Salinas and Daniel Salinas; Jason Rogers and Dusty Nickell, and Josh Adams and Cody Pratt; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Eddie Harms and his wife Marge of Reinbeck, and her three sisters: Shirley Hagenstein, Esther Albertson, and Darlene Lorenz, all of Waterloo.

Freida was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Debbie Nickell; grandson, Billy Mauck; three brothers, Buddy Harms, Delvin Harms, and Harley Harms; and a sister, Anna Mae Nash.
