Services:
Monday, February 23, 2014 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel: 3146 Kimball Ave. Waterloo, Iowa

Visitation:
Family will greet friends at a luncheon immediately following the service.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will take place at a later date at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.

Biography--

Robert D. “Bob” Jordan, 91, formerly of Waterloo, died at the La Porte City Nursing & Rehab Center Monday, February 16, 2015.

He was born May 25, 1923 in Charles City, the son of Levi and Violet Bumgardner Jordan. He married Wilma LaVonne Lenze, April 28, 1943, in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2010.

Mr. Jordan worked as a sanitation engineer for the city of Waterloo, retiring in 1986, after 28 years of service. He also was part of the C.C. Camp, during the Roosevelt administration, building roads through Backbone State Park. Bob was a member of the Fellowship of New Beginnings Wesleyan Church and later attended Heartland Community Church in La Porte City. He was a car enthusiast and loved puppies.

Bob is survived by a son, Ronald D. (Rose) Jordan of Waterloo; two daughters, Connie (Reg) Fox of Waterloo, and Chris L. (Pat) Tanner of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peg Clark of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma; a granddaughter, Kelly Fox; a great grandson, Cole Fox; two brothers, Everett and Tom Jordan; and two sisters, Alice Huffman and Elsie Hayes.
