Biography--

Emily Rasmusson, age 94, of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born November 21, 1920, in Solar, Colorado, the daughter of Marko and Mary (Kulia) Popovich. She married Ray Rasmusson in 1948 in Roswell, New Mexico. He preceded her in death February 27,1985.

Mrs. Rasmusson worked for Black’s Department Store, the Black Hawk Hotel, Crossroad Mall maintenance, Sibert’s Cleaners and NABISCO.

Survivors include: two daughters, Marianne (Ronnie) Smith and Peggy (Dan) Robinson, all of Santee, CA.; two sons, Larry (Barb) Rasmusson and Gary Rasmusson, all of Waterloo; two grandsons, Ian Smith and Dan Robinson, Jr. and sisters, Josephine (Tom) Simms of Denver, CO. and Evelyn Henderson of Hastings, Neb; and devoted friends and caregivers, Judy Taylor and Donna Story.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Marko Popovich and Mary Kulia, her husband; Ray O. Rasmusson; two brothers Daniel and Raymond Popovich and three sisters, Mary, Bertha, and Ann.
