Biography--

Peggy Lynn Kane, 63, of Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center, on Sunday, March 29, 2015 of cancer.

She was born on March 18, 1952 in Dubuque, daughter of Robert and Verdie (Weichers) Kressig.

Peggy graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School in 1970.

She married Jim J. Kane on September 20, 1975 at Sacred Heart in Waterloo.

Peggy began her work career at Sears in the key shop and later managed the Sears coffee shop, she then worked at Verdie’s Café before working in food service for Waterloo Community Schools.

She was a member of Queen of Peace Parish. Family was very important to Peggy and she loved spending time with her children and dogs.

Peggy is survived by her husband; daughter Sarah Kane of Waterloo; son Chris (Kyle Clabby) Kane of Waterloo; brother Bob (Liz) Kressig of Cedar Falls; brother-in-law Ron Beckmann; several nieces and nephews; and The Fab Four: Cindy, Olga, Sandie, and Rosie.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, sister Judy Beckmann, and brother Robert in infancy.
