Services:
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City, Iowa.

Visitation:
Public visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th, and an hour prior to the funeral service at St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City.

Biography--

Oddie J. Hook, age 69, of La Porte City died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from complications following heart surgery.

He was born August 22, 1945 in Cedar Falls, the son of Anno and Jeannette Card Hook. Oddie was united in marriage with Kay Moody on May 1, 1965 at Trinity Wesleyan Church in La Porte City.

Oddie worked as a lineman for the La Porte City Utilities for 33 years. Following his retirement he was a driver for Wheeler Auto Supply. Oddie was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Kay, of La Porte City; three sons: Jim (Tammy) Hook of La Porte City, Scott (Laurie) Hook of Dysart and Shawn (Jessica) Hook of Waterloo and a daughter, Kelly (Lonnie) West of La Porte City; 14 grandchildren: Ashley, Cody, Tyler, Beau, T.J., Jillian, Alex, Joshua, Colton, Morgan, Brodie, Maria, Stefan and Benjamin; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry (Marsha) Hook of Vinton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
