Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the American Lutheran Church, 806 Monroe Street in La Porte City.

Visitation:
Public visitation will be held an hour prior to the services at the church.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be at a later date in Westview Cemetery.

Biography--

Lois K. Flickinger, age 96, of La Porte City, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born February 1, 1919 in Atkins, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Agnes Hegewald Schirm. Lois graduated from Garrison (Iowa) High School. She married Dean Flickinger on May 16, 1943 in Leesville, Louisiana. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2011.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Leonard) Fowler of Rosemount, Minnesota, and Luann (Jeff) Elliott of La Porte City; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Schirm of Vinton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, DuWayne Schirm and Richard Schirm.
