Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Porte City

Visitation:
2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at La Porte City Funeral Home where there will be a 4:00 p.m. Rosary Service. Visitation will also be held one hour before the service at the church.

West View Cemetery, La Porte City, Iowa

Biography--

Eileen M. Buck, 64, of La Porte City, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a short acute illness.

She was born August 16, 1950, in La Porte City, the daughter of Merville W. and Margaret Eileen (Foss) Purdy.

She was a 1968 graduate of Jesup High School. She married Lee R. Buck on April 15, 1983; he preceded her in death on March 24, 2001.

She worked as a machinist for Chamberlain Manufacturing for 20 years.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick (Lisa) Purdy and Frederick Purdy all of La Porte City; one stepson, Gary Buck of Fort Madison; one special daughter, Melisa Pullin of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Zach Purdy of Waterloo, Adam, Beau, Devin Purdy all of La Porte City, Leighton Pullin and Amya Joshua both of Waterloo; one sister, Linda (Stan) Schneider of Cedar Falls; five brothers, Glen Purdy of Waterloo, Nicholas (Linda) Purdy of Waterloo, Robert (Rosie) Purdy of Washburn, William (Cora) Purdy of Algoma, WI, Merville (Vicki) Purdy of Forestville, WI and many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lee.
