Lillie G. Perkins, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center of natural causes.
She was born March 1, 1926 in Durant, Mississippi, the daughter of Link and Martha (Wright) Williams. She married Bennie Triplett on April 29, 1941; he preceded her in death in 1976. She married Claude Perkins on December 29, 1979.
Lillie worked in the Sliced Bacon Department and Rath Packing Company for many years. She was a member of Community Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother’s Board.
She is survived by her husband Claude of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Doris Foster of Waterloo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; seven brothers: Nathanial (Cynthia) Powell, Willie Powell, Norman Powell, Roy (Irma Jean) Powell, James (Lawanda) Powell, all of Lexington, MS, Robert Powell of Marietta, Georgia, and Lester (Marshelle) Powell of West, MS; and two sisters: Linda (Ezell) Smith of Lexington, MS, and Helen (Rogel) Roberson of Durant, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bennie Triplett; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruthie Lee (Walter L. Sr.) Cunningham; and two sisters: Mary Powell Johnson and Bobbie Fells.
