Biography--

Larry R. Taylor, 74, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born March 1, 1941 in Waterloo, the son of Harold and Regina (LaVine) Taylor. He was a graduate of Denver High School. He married Nancy L. Spaulding on February 18, 1961 in Waterloo.

Larry worked as a machinist for John Deere for 37 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed the outdoors and was known as the “Neighborhood Handyman."

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Cedar Falls; four sons: Troy (Jennifer) Taylor of Norwalk, Darren (Kris) Taylor of Cedar Falls, Trent Taylor of Sergeant Bluff, Kyle (Shannon Stitchman) Taylor of Waterloo; seven grandchildren: Josh Taylor, Alex Taylor, Michaela Stitchman, Lucas Taylor, Gaige Stitchman, Nicole Taylor, and Ozzy Taylor; two brothers: Allan (Alice) Taylor of Boise, ID, and Randy Taylor of Hillsboro, OR; and one sister, Anne Stratton of Denver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
