Rodney Eisele

July 27, 1970 - August 23, 2015

Rodney “Rod” Robert Eisele was born on July 27, 1970, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Robert and Judith (Hlavacka) Eisele. He grew up in Clutier and graduated from North Tama High School in 1988. During high school and after his graduation, Rod worked with his dad and grandpa on the family farm.

He then went to Kirkwood Community College, CRST trucking school, worked at Meskwaki Casino, worked as a mechanic at Ken Wise Car Dealership in Marshalltown, and attended Hawkeye Community College. He enjoyed farming, mechanics, playing video games with his son, Shawn, and spending time with his family. Rod died at the age of 45 at his home in Traer on Sunday, August 23, 2015 of natural causes.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Rod is survived by his parents; a son, Shawn Eisele of Traer; a daughter, Faith Eisele of Clutier; a step son, Drew Raum of Waterloo; a brother, Ron (Janee) Eisele of Nashville, Tennessee; a sister, Juliet Payn of Tama; and nieces and nephews, Tyler Zhorne, Daelyn Eisele, Seth Payn Lily Payn, and Jackson Scott. Burial will be in Buckingham Cemetery in rural Traer.
