Clifford Anderson

August 20, 1926 - November 27, 2014

Clifford James Anderson was born on August 20, 1926, in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Anna Anderson. He grew up in Jericho, Iowa and attended country school. Clifford served his country in the United States Army in Germany during World War II from 1945 to 1947.

On December 6, 1948, Clifford was united in marriage to Irene Louise Douglas. Clifford worked numerous places in his life, most recently as a mail carrier for 34 years until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waterloo, the VFW, and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Clifford enjoyed traveling, working on puzzles and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Shawn Doyle; a son in law, Don Krause; three sisters; and a brother. Clifford in survived by two daughters, Linda Krause of Des Moines and Cindy Doyle of Waterloo; three sons, Bob Anderson of Waterloo, Joe (Pam) Anderson of Ankeny and Alan (Kris) Anderson of Des Moines; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
