Sharon Kay Wilson was born November 29, 1964 in Waterloo, Iowa: the daughter of Darold and Leah (Rath) Wilson. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1983. Sharon married Rodney Ross Weatherman in 1989, they later divorced. To the union, a daughter, Breanna was born. Breanna was Sharon’s best friend; they were inseparable and were just alike.

Sharon started working for Qwest, currently Century Link, in 1995, retiring in 2014. She met her soul mate, Mark Neelans, November 21, 2009; he has been a great blessing to Sharon. She cared deeply for her dogs and enjoyed fishing, shopping with Breanna and falling asleep during Lifetime movies. Sharon loved her family dearly, especially her granddaughter Brooklyn.

Sharon passed away at her home from natural causes on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the age of 50. She is preceded in death by her parents; paternal and maternal grandparents.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Mark Neelans; a daughter Breanna (Derek) Johnson; a granddaughter Brooklyn Johnson all of Waterloo; 3 brothers: Lyle (Rebecca) Wilson of Jesup, Larry Wilson of Waterloo and Don (Francine) Wilson of Troy, Missouri. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society or Unity Point Hospice.
