Obituary for Tonda Lee Foster

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Tonda Lee Calvert Foster, 55, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

She was born January 24, 1959, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Paul Thomas and Bette Jane Monroe Calvert and was raised by Bette Jane and Leonard Judas. She married Richard Bertram in Waterloo and later divorced. She then married Richard Foster January 15, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tonda graduated from Waterloo Central High School in 1977. She was employed as the Food Service Director at River Hills School in Cedar Falls where she worked for 22 years and currently as a receptionist in patient intake with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare at Arrowhead Clinic in Cedar Falls.

She is survived by her husband of Cedar Falls; one son, Brandon J. Calvert of Waterloo; two daughters, Jennifer M. and Jessica M. Bertram, both of Waterloo; step-daughter, Jennifer L. (Brian) Lord of Colorado Springs, CO; step-son, James R. (Kelly) Foster of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, Connor L. King, Andrew and William Lord, and Lee and Ben Foster; and two sisters, Paulette Reinard of Waterloo and Renell (Doug) Richter of Cedar Falls.

Preceded by her parents and one sister, Jeraldine Calvert.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday at the Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls, with interment in the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
