Grace Eleanor Haberer, 96, died Sunday at Unity Point Allen Hospital.
She was born September 3, 1918 in Webster City, daughter of Fred and Gertrude Roberts Rouse. She married Paul Haberer on December 28, 1940 in Waterloo. He died February 2, 1979.
Grace graduated from East High School in 1936. She worked as a housekeeper and also child care, retiring in 1975.
She is survived by a daughter, Grace “Becky” (Chuck) Howlett of Waterloo; a son, Paul “Tony” Haberer of Euless, Texas; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Ward (Shirley) Rouse of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; five sisters, Mary Goodwin, Catherine Wilson, Arlene Munger, Margarette Rouse in infancy, Virginia Goodwin; a brother, Donald Rouse.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
