April 15, 1936 - February 10, 2015

Ramon D. “Ray” Donnelly, 78, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 10 at Manor Care Health Services.

He was born April 15, 1936 in Vinton, the son of Francis “Pat” and Louise Pieper Donnelly.

Ray was employed with Waterloo Community Schools, retiring in 1995. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include a sister, Patricia L. Donnelly Wurzer of Waterloo; a devoted friend, Jackie Morgan of Waterloo and numerous cousins.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services at the church on Friday.

Hagarty-Waychoff–Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Ray enjoyed golfing and fishing. He spent weekends at his Harper’s Ferry cabin with family and friends. He went to Red Lake Ontario, Canada each year to fish.
