John Lee Foote, 59, of LaPorte City, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Manor Care Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was born December 9, 1955 in Waterloo, son of Clinton C. and Clare I. Voves Foote.
John graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1975. He is a U.S. Army veteran. He worked in maintenance at Tyson Foods.
He is survived by his mother, Clare Foote of LaPorte City; a brother, Russell Foote of Ft. Dodge; a sister, Carol Foote of Cedar Falls.
He was preceded in death by his father; his step-father, Charles Scarr; two brothers, Bruce L. and David Foote; his maternal grandparents, John & Ida Voves; his paternal grandparents, Cecil & Edna Foote.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washburn, with burial at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville. Military rites will be conducted by the Riceville American Legion. Public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and also one hour preceding services at the church on Monday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
