Marilyn L. Clabby, 82, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, September 16, at Lakeview Landing.

She was born October 6, 1932 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Della Golinvaux Kemp. She married James J. Clabby on January 19, 1952 in Albany, Georgia.

Marilyn graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterloo and was employed with Merchant Supply in Waterloo for several years and later with the Chet Ellison Insurance Agency in Waterloo for several years.

Survivors include: her husband; a son, Steve (Deon) Clabby of Waterloo; a daughter, Susan Rue of Waterloo; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Chris) Kemp of Iowa City; and a special nephew, James R. (Judy) Burton of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Thomas Clabby; and two sisters, Dorothy Benjamin and Leota Roedel.

Services will be noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue at the church from 11:30 to noon Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Marilyn was a loving homemaker and an excellent Bridge player.
