Levi "Lee" E. Huffman, Jr.

November 20, 1946 - September 21, 2015

Levi E. “Lee” Huffman, Jr., 68, of Waterloo, died Monday, September 21 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born November 20, 1946 in Waterloo, son of Levi and Thelma Herzog Huffman, Sr. He married Patricia Grant, August 1965, in Preston, Minn. and they were later divorced. He married Elizabeth “Beth” Fisher May 26, 1993 in Eureka Springs, Ark. She died August 19, 2011.

Lee graduated from Columbus High School in 1964, Gates Business College in 1967 and Waterloo Barber College in 1968. He was a barber in Waterloo and then worked in sales at various Waterloo businesses. He owned and operated Cardinal Marketing and Waterloo Flag and Flag Pole.

Survivors include a son, Andy Huffman (Jennifer Selleck) of Waterloo; a daughter, Lori (Kenny) Reuter of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Justin (Amy) Reuter of Waterloo, Kelsey Reuter of Vinton, Austin (Jennifer Barker) and Ashlyn Huffman both of Waterloo; two great-grandchildren, Ryen Lee Reuter and David Lee James Huffman of Waterloo; a brother, Lou (Jan) of Spearfish, S.D.; two nieces, Jana and Paula Huffman; a great niece and nephew; many cousins; and an uncle, Al Herzog of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; an uncle, Gordon and aunts, Madonna and Madeline.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and for an hour before services at the church.

Lee played in a band as a teenager and built pool tables with his best friend, Steve Nicholson called HuffNich. He had a special love for his dog, Vegas and his cat, Flash. The family would like to give a special thanks to Sherri Moore and Terry Whitesell for the wonderful care and love shown to Lee for the past four years.
