Albert Herzog

September 25, 1928 - September 22, 2015

Albert Herzog, 86, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, September 22 at UnityPoint Allen Hospital.

He was born September 25, 1928 in Ionia, son of Albert and Selma Bigelow Herzog.

Albert was employed with John Deere for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, earning two bronze stars.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Huffman, Madalyn Laumbach and Madonna McNally; two brothers, Gordon Herzog and Milton in infancy.

Public visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway.

There will be a private family burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
