Biography--

Douglas Ray Jetmund, 65, of La Porte City, Iowa, formerly of Ames, Independence and Evansdale died at Southern Hills Specialty Care Center in Osceola, Iowa on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. He was born June 9, 1950 in Hampton, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Peggy Christie Jetmund.

He graduated from Ames High School in 1969, attended Bell and Howell School in Chicago and also the University of Arizona. He was a laborer for various businesses including the Iowa Department of Transportation.

Douglas served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughter Runa (Rocco) Bianchi of Paradise Valley, Arizona; sister Leisa (Darell) Phillips of Waterloo; sister C. Diane Jetmund of West Tisbury, Massachusetts; granddaughter Giuliana Bianchi and grandson Dominic Bianchi, both of Paradise Valley; two nieces and three nephews; and four great-nieces and four great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
