Biography--

Robert B. Greene, 91 of Waterloo, died at UnityPoint Health ‑ Allen Hospital on Saturday, December 20, 2014 of natural causes.

He was born on March 24, 1923 in Independence, son of Fred S. and Irene F. Greene. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Robert married Betty Wedge on November 16, 1946 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. She died May 9, 1999.

He worked at Rath Packing in the Dry Sausage Dept. for 38 yrs. until it closed.

He is survived by his children: Barbara Briggman of Independence; Robert Greene Jr., of Denver and three grandchildren six great grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife. Two Sisters: Maxine Uhre and Virginia Cooley. Two Brothers: Leland Greene and Kenneth Greene.

Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home

Visitation:
Family will greet friends an hour before the service.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery
