Biography--

Gabriel "Gabe" Benoit, 37, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, formerly of Sainte-Martine, Québec, Canada, died at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City on Thursday, July 30, 2015.

Gabriel Gerard Benoit was born March 7, 1978, in Verdun, Montréal, Canada, son of Pierre Benoit and Ginette Prévost.

He attended school in Cedar Falls at St. Patrick Catholic School and Cedar Falls High and had worked at different restaurants in the Cedar Valley area.

Gabe is survived by his mother Ginette Prévost of Châteauguay, Québec, Canada; his father Pierre Benoit of Cedar Falls; and brothers: Jayson Henry of Pella, Iowa and Stéphane Turcot of Roberval, Québec, Canada.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
