WATERLOO - Kathleen Kay Suhr, 66, of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center of cancer.

She was born Aug. 3, 1948, in Waterloo, daughter of Albert Joseph and Ida Marie Axler Kvidera. She married Dale Suhr in 1968.

She graduated from Traer High School in 1966. Kathleen worked for Banco (later known as GMAC).

Survived by her mother, Ida Kosnar of Traer; her husband; two daughters, Raquel Kessens of Cedar Rapids and Angela (Allan) Parks of Marshalltown; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Trevor, Isabella, Amanda and Amber; and two great-grandchildren, Bayn and Cade.

Preceded in death by her father; and her stepfather, Joseph Kosnar.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with burial in Garden of Memories. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kathleen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved to take care of “Grandpa” Dale and his many race cars. The couple traveled all over, including Hawaii for their 25th anniversary. For their 40th anniversary Dale surprised Kathleen with a candy apple red Corvette which they used for many of their trips.
